Hear Ye Hear Ye!
It was decided at tonight's Protectorate meeting to disband. Lady Molly will be holding Royal Court of Light meetings if anyone is in need of information. May the virtues be with us all.

A mechanical crow lands on Dealthagar's office, dropping a copy of the parchment on his desk. "Ever the vigilant eye, eh?" He waves his hand at the bird and it flits off to the rookery. He looked over the paper, drinking in each word. The pain, the anguish, the unspoken bitterness. If not from the writer, then just the emotions that a congress of Lightbringers always seems to bring.
The Herald stood. Taking the paper, he went to his scroll cabinet, coiled it and placed it with the notices of the Britannian War Council, The Heralds of the Awakening and the Regency. Another grand idea of the virtues, that the antivirtues tore down. Even after an age, pride still reigned supreme is Sosaria.
We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper. _________________

Orelen gazed over the notice with conflicted feelings during one of his walks through Britain on the Trammel side. A slight smirk crossed his face, a sign of the vindication for all the work he had done to see this come to pass. Yet he was rather miffed which had become more frequent an emotion for him. They certainly had no right to rule. They were weak and wished nothing further than to talk and bicker. Yet, this is the first act of reason they had achieved in years. He shook his head slowly looking over the notice once more.
It took them long enough. Sosaria is in better hands with them out of the picture. With a smile he jotted a few words to the bottom of the poster.
They read simply:
Well done!

Thraxas read the note and, without a hint of observable feeling, went on his way, much in the same manner he passed by ancient graveyards, full of the bones of the forgotten. _________________ "If a criminal has what you want, you do business with him." |
