I really don't know what to say other than that game freaked me the frack out.
Only play it if you can handle psychological mind games.
I hate therapists now. _________________

They made another? Nothing will top that radio that meant some freaky pterodactyl was going to impale your skull. |

Ever since they made the movie they've been milking it. I think there's like seven games now.
Seriously though, scary things normally don't get to me. This was just outright crazy. _________________

Isn't this thing wii only?
You're not telling me something on the wii is scary are you? Hehe
But seriously, yea I heard that the game changes based on the way you answer the questions to the psychologist so this that rare silent hill game with replay value. I'm not too thrilled with the run away only and no combat aspect. Though if it scares you it there has to be something to it aside from waggle free. |

I'm with you Azunda....the first game freaked both my exhusband and I out when it first came out. I was navigator with the strategy guide and he was playing, boy that was the closest we ever sat and sleep in the 16 yrs we were together. I don't even think we got far in the second one cuz it was sooooo creepy. Was indifferent about the movie. |

The first FEAR game ripped my bravery apart.
An elevator opened on its own once and I turned the game off. _________________ I have no idea what you are talking about.

I ran through all the FEAR games and jumped 3-4 times total. They weren't that bad, but the scariest I've played so far. _________________

It's for Wii, PS2(Thirty bucks!), and PSP.
The whole evasion element towards enemies is a lot better than it sounds. If you've played Clocktower, it's like that on steroids. It really fills you with a sense of dread when you know it's coming up.
If you want to get the most from the gameplay, answer the psychologist the way you would answer. Makes for a very fracked up experience. |

By the way I am a huge Fatal Frame fan which is not as widely known of a game but Fatal Frame two was ranked as one of the scariest games even scarier then the current Silent Hill when it came out.
We tried some of the other Silent hills and the game play movement sucked, killed alot of the story for us.
However, that being said it was one of the first three silent hills and it is possible that this one has greatly improved.
Tell me what the gameplay movements are like. Is it first person perspective or can you do both.
Is it hard to get used to the controls for it? Is it user friendly? What sort of fighting style? Do you just shoot things with a gun or is there other things you fight with?
If it is easier to run as its a newer game then I will definitely want to go get it. Fatal frame is a very phsychological game, so I love that sort as well as a really good storyline, if what you are telling me about this Silent hill is correct then I cant wait to grab it! _________________ May destiny guide you... |

Well what I remember from the first one, you used different weapons. It was also like a resident evil point of view....you kinda followed your toon but could make it first person. I think I remember my ex beating something with a 2 x 4 at one point. It's the whole sound thing when your radio is going off with the white noise and the eerie fog when you are outside. But by far the creepiest section was in the school with the zombie kids. I was roflmao at the nurses in the hospital.
I think the part that kinda got us frustrated what how you could get so turned around because one door would put you in the alternate version of the room and then another door would put you in the normal reality.
I did hear about that fatal frame game, I was too creeped out from watching the grudge the night before to attempt it, so I put it down. |
