Korin stood atop Stonegate Guild hall, looking out to the south. Ciara was there standing at his side. In front of him stood two little girls no more than Six or seven. On the other side of Ciara was his son almost as tall as Korin, and dressed in the grey armour of the Guardians. Korin held a little girl in his arm her long white hair flowing in the breeze as she clung to her fathers neck.
Korin felt Ciara slip her arm around his waist as they watched the Storm grow over Umbra. Korin looked around at the gathering of Guardians as they started to grow in numbers atop the guild hall. Shortly just about every member of Stonegate was there.
Merci walked over followed by her husband, Her face wore an exspression of great saddness. With out a word she touched each of her grandchildrens face. Her eyes meet with Korin and for a long moment something past between mother and son. Words were not needed as the two said there good byes. Korin nodded to Bishimi as He placed his hands on korins shoulder. Korin was glad to have met this man he had brought happiness to his mother in troubled times. He had remained constant in his love for her, and for this Korin was greatful. Korin watched as the storm over Umbra grew darker with the lighting and thunder growing in intesty.
Korin caught out of the corner of his eye The wolf King, as he made his way to the edge of the roof. Myrdins face also shown great stress. Korin knew that the years of war had taken it's toll on the man. Every one had looked to him for guidance and strength. Korin knew that those who did not understand this man called him a murder, and a butcher. But Korin saw him as a hero, Korin was proud to have stood at his side and fought with this man.
Korin looked around the now crowded roof top. Pales, Tarewin, Felyn, Stallis, Mal, Willow, Crickette, Mei, Fiona, Alexis, Dominic all stood looking to the south watching. Each Man and woman there faces locked in a look of sadness. Korin burnt into his mind each of these faces. For these were his friends and his family.

The storm grew and as if driven by a force, The lighten cracked all at once it was as if all the energy in a storm that had been brewing for years was foucused on one point, Umbra.
Korin could hear the wolves sing there sad and lonesome song into the afternoon sky.
Ever head on that roof top turned as a loud exsplosion revererated from behind them. The wolf stone lay shattered into four peices. There was a bright flash of light from Umbra. Korin felt as if his heart was ripped from his chest, as the screams of terror of thousands of people suddenly ripped into nothingness, Sounded in his head.
Korin watched as storm clouds started to roll out in all directions, Lighting struck the ground leaving massive craters as the continent of Malas was being blown apart. Korin watched in Horror as Just behind the storm front the land was being desentigrated and sucked back into nothing. The storm rolled on destroying everything in its path before devouring it into nothingness.
Lighting started striking into Stonegate Valley, Time was getting short. Korin leaned over and kissed Ciara one last time. then reached down and placed his hand over one of his daughters heads turning it into his body. Ciara did the same to the Their other daughter, There son stood as a proud Guardian his arm around his mothers shoulder and his chin held high. A bright flash of light.

Korin sat up he was breathing very hard, His body was covered in sweat. He threw the blanket of snow that covered him off with the wave of his hand and slowly got to his feet. He walked over to the arch way and looked out into a clear night sky. The stars were shining down on Stonegate valley.

Korin walked down into his office and sat down behind his desk. His body was sore from all the fighting earlier in the night, Korins mind was troubled as well.
Korin loved a good fight, even more so now that he had found his path in life. But all this needless blood shed was a waist of time and good man power. If only those who stood against them, could understand. Stonegate was being made out to be the villains in this war. In Truth they were only doing what they felt was right. The Lich had to be stopped and millions of people had to be protected. Those that now stood against stonegate had become weak, and more worried about titles and land claims than the greater good of all the world they lived in.
They saw stonegate as thugs, villians and murders. If only they would open their eyes alot of the bloodshed could be avoided. The Gaurdians would much rather fight with them than against them if they would only listen to reason. The time for talking, and voting was over it was time for action. If They would not grow a backbone and stand up and protect their lands from the lich then with all the might of Stonegate. They would take those lands and protect the weak from a far greater threat than what was preseicve of them.

Korin walked to the balcony and looked out over stonegate Vally. Closing his eyes, he saw remnants of his dream, Him as an older man with a family. This made Korin smile.

Raising his face towards the sky, he began to speak. "With out the Light there is no Dark. Now the time apon us to combine the light and the dark to form a grey world. Those of the Light and some of those of the dark have a common enemy, one that if left on his current path will destroy not only all that is but all that will be. The Forces of Stonegate will take Luna the city of light. But we are not conquers but its protectors. We are not murderes or villians, but Savoirs to a people to caught up in there own selves to see that a greater danger stands before them."

In the early morning hours just before Dawn in the frozen lands of stonegate a great voice shattered the darkness.

"We are the Guardians of Stonegate. We are the Protectors of the World."
