It is unfortunate that we fell from a peaceful and mutually beneficial agreement over Luna to a disagreement that could not be solved. Neither of us will budge and we both know it, for I as you am a being of principle, devoted to my cause.

There is nothing that can be said or done that will change my views on the Lich and the threat he represents.

It is furthermore unfortunate that it was necessary for me to make this decision.


Duchess, it did not fail my notice that you now fought against us along side Sid in the recent battle of Yew.

You must realize the..epiphany..that fell upon me with the reading of a certain proclamation this eve.

The Lich Lord has created a formal pact with the Denizens of the Abyss and the Drow of Umbra. The Denizens of the Abyss also fought shoulder to shoulder with you, Lord Sid, and the Britanian Protectorate...

As Wolf King of Stonegate I am left no choice but to acknowledge the following points:

1) You have directly engaged us in combat and our disagreement has now escalated to war.

2) You have willingly chosen to not only fight against us, but you have done so with the soldiers of Stonegate's greatest enemy.

3) With the formation of an alliance between the aforementioned entities, Umbras potential battlefield presence has doubled, if not tripled, in strength. While the threat was contained before, it is far too great to leave the city in the hands of your weakness.

Martial law is now the least of what will be required in Luna.

Respond as soon as possible with a time that we might meet to negotiate your surrender of Luna city.

She was not at home when the message arrived. Her scribe found her in meditation at the hall of virtues. He came to her quitely and gently whispered her name. She turned to see him standing there looking very distressed. She nodded him forward where he handed her the scroll.

She opened the scroll and frowned as she read the contents.
