It was time, long had they waited for precisely the right moment. It had come. She smiled with pleasure but her smile faded with the meaning behind it.

Stonegate had never set its sights on just one entity.. they had a Strong King, a Strong Clan and a Strong Will. They would see that change came as was directed for they were the chosen. They began as Outcasts of society. How people had mocked the Lycans calling them dogs, regarding to Stonegate as *The Dog Kennel in the Snow*. They would eat every word with their own tongues rammed high sliding down their throats.

Peoples lack of understanding turned into a rich game...their Underestimations, their assumptions that Stonegate was a just a bunch of wild wolves was to soon come painfully and bitterly sweet to an end. Stonegate new much about other entities but how much did theses entities, these foe, know about them.

Knowledge was the real power, how to defeat your foe, where your foes strengths and weaknesses were. She was certain if the Oblivion worshippers had been lucky enough to recieve a Lycan into thier fold, they would not see the great benefit in that against thier foe, nay they would surely kill the Lycan and twist it from its powerful form to some weak undead slave.... She was ever thankful that they had not been blessed with such knowledge of Stonegate such ability.

That was the true mistake, not embracing the strengths of your clan and what you are... Merci embraced her own ways her diversity fueling her, she embraced the ways of each different creature or human that resided in Stonegate. Even the Paladin Tarewin had shown her the way....

The Protectorate had faultered and fallen into a mockery of its former self, not wanting change clinging blindly to thier old ways...it had saddened her that now they, represented very few of the people of Sosaria, they represented only their wealth and title..

The Elder council of Stonegate had given its vote, the clan had pledged thier sword arms. Bishimi and his people had stood like brethren with them agreeing to see it thru come blood and sword. So it was done.

Myrddin now had the power.... He would make the next move.

May destiny guide you King of the Chosen..Empress of Shadows..
