Rachel was sitting at her desk staring blankly at the wall. She was thinking about the rescue mission that would be taking place later that night. The scouts had confirmed that it would be possible to sneak past Azeroth's guards to get to the citizens, but that they would only have a few minutes. This meant that they would have to try to break the locks on the cells as quickly and quietly as possible. If they made too much commotion they would surely attract the attention of the guards, and the rescue would fail. They would fail, and all those innocent people would die. It weighed heavily on her heart. Rachel knew that they could not fail.
Rachel's thoughts were interrupted when she heard the door open. She looked up to see her husband, Valatin. He gave her his big smile and handed her a sealed letter.
"What is this?" Rachel asked Valatin.
"It was lying on the steps of the house. It's addressed to you. Other than that I know as much as you do."
Rachel looked at the letter carefully. There was nothing on it to even hint who it was from. It only had her name written on it.
"This is strange. I didn't hear anyone knock on the door. And surely the messengers would not just leave it lying on the steps."
"Well, open it and see what it says."
Rachel nodded slowly, and ripped the seal. She read the letter slowly and she could barely believe what she had read.
"Well, what does it say and who is it from?"
"I don't know who it's from. It isn't signed. But it says that someone has forgotten to lock the doors of the cells the people of Minoc are being held in."
"What? It has to be a trick. Azeroth is trying to trick us. It doesn't make any sense." Valatin argued.
"I know. It doesn't make sense, but... What if it's not a trick? What if someone really does feel that killing all those people is wrong? We have to continue our plan. If it's not a trick, and we don't go through with the plan all those innocent people will die."
"And what if it is a trick? If we get caught they will die anyways. And we will too."
Rachel nodded her understanding. "I know, but we have to risk it. We can't just sit here worried about ourselves. There are children... Not to mention the men and women."
Valatin nodded slowly and turned to the clock on the wall. "It is time. We have to meet up with the others. We should definately inform them of this, and the possible danger."
"Yes, let's hurry. We have a lot to do before then."

Rachel could hear the sounds of the guards in the distance. She knew they were getting close to where they would sneak into Minoc. Even though the moon was full and bright, the darkness of the forest was eerie and made Rachel shiver.
Rachel and Valatin had told the other's about the letter, and while they were all weary of it being a trick, they agreed they had to go through with the rescue no matter what.
"It's time. The guards are out of sight. Let's move quickly. We don't have much time." Vaen whispered to them. Rachel had been so caught up in her thoughts she didn't even realize they had reach the edge of town.
They all ran quickly to the closest building. They were only a few feet from the cells. Rachel could hear the people weeping inside. Her heart sank.
"Natalya, Kolero and Vaen, head to the door on the far right and work your way down. The rest of us will start on the left and we'll meet you in the center." Valatin said as he pointed to the building. "Make sure to move fast, and if you run into trouble don't forget our signal."
Rachel watched as the three of them ran off in the opposite direction of her and her group. She could see the hesitation in their eyes, but she could also see the determination.
Valatin walked up to the first door they were to open and paused for a minute before he put his hand on the knob and pulled. He almost fell backwards as the door flew right open. The letter was right. The door was unlocked. Rachel ran inside and saw the frightened eyes of the men, women and children looking up at her.
"Hurry up! Get up! We're here to help. Move quietly but quickly. We're getting you out of here. Just follow us and we'll lead you to safety." Rachel urged them up trying to not scare them and assure them they were safe.
"Rachel, hurry. We have a lot more doors to go and not much time."
Rachel hurried after the group trying to stay back to make sure none were lost or tried to run off. They went from door to door and all were unlocked. Rachel could not believe it. Someone on the inside was helping them.
By the time they reached the other group they were all smiling. They had succeeded so far. Now to get the people out of town and to safety.
They were about twenty five feet from the edge of the forest when they heard the signal they had set up to warn of guards. Vaen looked back at the group and motion to Kolero and Valatin to stay guard until the people were out of sight. Rachel urged them to move faster or they would be caught.
After what seemed like an eternity, the group stopped. They were in the clear. Valatin and Kolero had taken care of a guard who had come into view before he could warn the rest of Azeroth. The people were all safe. The men were hugging their wives and children, and all were crying with happiness.
The Legion members ushered them on deeper and told them they had to keep moving until they had reached Rachel's house. They would then be able to rest for a bit until other accomodations could be provided.
When they finally reached the house, the Legion members stood outside and checked the forest and in between the houses to make sure they had not been followed. When they decided that it was safe, they looked at each other and smiled like children who had received new toys.
"Good job everyone. The people are safe. Azeroth will not win this time. Even if we can't stop them from burning Minoc, at least we saved the citizens." Vaen said.
They all nodded and headed inside to set the people up for the night. They had succeeded, and their hearts and minds felt lighter for it. _________________ I'm not like you I'm not like them

[[OOC: Was brought to my attention that this seemed godmodish. An Azeroth member ICQ'd me, saying that he "sent a letter" to the Legion saying that the doors of Azeroth were unlocked. The IC reason for doing this was that even though he is of Azeroth, he did not want to watch innocent women and children be killed.]] _________________
