Drayden had been kept quite busy for the past few weeks tending to the Quarter and getting things in order for his Matron's Return. He rarely spoke directly to this Drow in particular. But he felt it necessary to fill in his father on the recent developments.
Father,
This is quite uncharacteristic of me, but I feel it is necessary to explain some recent developments in Umbra that may be of interest to you. First and foremost, Matron Kal'iksix has contacted me from the Abyss. Apparently her and The Masked One were recalled there a few months ago to have some sort of meeting with our Queen. The specifics probably matter very little to you at this point. I have spoken with her through commune and she is returning to our plane in the next few days. I am sure she will wish to speak to you as will The Boss. Her thoughts are different now, and I am not so sure how her feelings towards your new home have changed. I hope that Feyln has found her place in the North. I sent her there for protection, there are some here in Umbra that don't need the temptation. She is a liability here for both of us. I saw the beginnings of the Double Dagger being rebuilt underway. So I take that as a good sign that the Company will be returning soon.
In relation to other parties. The Undead have kept to themselves, but more than once I have seen your "employees" stealing through the Drow Quarter towards the desert. I doubt that this will go well if the Matron finds strangers in her homeland, so it may be best for you to disclose your intentions directly to her. As I do not know them, nor do I want to. Soon, there will be life once again in the Quarter and your business will be welcomed. I will seek out Mr. Narshan and make arrangements to have more workers available as he has asked me about such late last evening. The flock of Drow will need somewhere to unwind and vent their frustrations from lack of combat and hopefully the Double Dagger will be completed soon so that it can open for business.
Send my love to Feyln and please father. Keep her safer than you have in the past.

Regards,
Calamyr

Drayden quickly recalled to the Shadowhall and left the letter in his Father's lock box in the lower level before returning to Umbra.
