It is with reservation and mild anger that I write you now in regards to your decree. Stonegate in no way has any authority or power within the lands of Luna and her holdings to state decrees, freely move armies or operate within the city. Rather, Stonegate is to await a direct request for assistance from the government of Luna before they may enter the city or her territories legally.

It is with slight distress that we note that at this current juncture the Kingdom of Stonegate has made far more agressive and possibly threatening allusions to the City and People of Luna then the Order of the Ebon Skull and Umbra under the Lich Lord Darrien Church has thus made by the act of your decree.

I sincerely believe this is not made in aggression or evil intent, but rather the result of your zealous desire for our benefit and well-being.

From this moment on, Stonegate is to exercise no authority of any kind in Luna and her holdings -or- move any military into said regions without the explicit request of the Government of Luna. A failure to comply would regretfully result in the nullification of our treaty.

That you would write to me in this manner breeds both disappointment and frustration within me, and yet for some reason I do not find myself surprised.

My decree was written with and only with powers expressly appointed by you. The Oracle and I met with you months ago and held conference over the threat that is Darrien Church and the followers of Oblivion. At that time you and I came to a compromise, the city would remain in your name but military power in the city would be granted to me. Stonegate was to gather those armies who would defend Luna from the corruption with which it is so directly tied, and see that the plague that is Umbra would never spread its reach.

You seem to have forgotten this. Unfortunately, your sudden memory loss pales in comparison to your utterly ridiculous lack of reason.

You have lived a long time Molly, and you more than almost anyone should know how the followers of Oblivion work and what they are capable of. You assume that the Oblivionites will ignore the Moongate that allows them to step into the core of your territory and will instead march through the iron fist that is Sanctus.

You assume that when Darrien's forces do arrive, they will kindly allow you to send word for aid. As if they would politely tie your hands and sit you in a cell as oppose to resorting to the centuries of poison, disease, and malice they are known for.


I am greatly insulted that you would be so naive as to claim Stonegate a greater threat than Umbra. It is of even greater insult that you immediately follow such words with a supposed sincerity in your belief that we truly are motivated for good..just too zealous...

Perhaps you've also forgotten about all that Oblivion has done too. Wishful thinking perhaps?

You have grown old and weak, foolish and childish, and I see that you hold your own interests above all the people of Malas.

Your greed for power over Luna blinds you, while the army that faced Oblivion for the sake of Britain, Moonglow, and Sanctus itself tries to prepare for the invasion of Luna that is undoubtedly soon to come.

Umbra sleeps because they are preparing themselves, and that is the only reason they are quiet for now.

Damn your friendship and your respect, for they are thinly veiled lies suited more to the court than the real world.

I assure you this Molly, whether you get in my way or not, I will not allow Oblivion to thrive within the lands of Malas.

I will see you at the protectorate meeting.

Late at night she picks up the letter and rereads it still fuming but decides to wait until her meeting before passing judgement. She shakes her head and frowns. She looks over at Will.

To think he stoops to calling names and such childish rudeness and then asks for a meeting...

Will just shakes his head and sighs as he takes her arm to help her to bed.

Just what I need to add to my current dark nightmares...she sighs as she climbs into bed.

Will takes her in his arms, holding her close and begins to sing soothing elven melodies so she can fall asleep, hoping they will keep her nightmares at bay.
