The wolf stood watching and waiting, He had her scent now and it would not belong. His eye caught movement and his nose filled with her scent. Walking past his place of concealment the blue haired lady with her head held high pasted. It was her it was the woman in his dreams the one he had been sreaching for. The wolf slowly stepped out from his hiding spot and moved ever cautiously towards the woman. It was a perfect stalk the wind was at his nose which ment she would not be able to smell him as well, Her scent was getting stronger. Just as he was with in fifteen paces of her and was about to make his presences know, the sound of armour came up from behind him. Darting for cover He watched as a knight in black armour came riding past. His red hair flowing for under his helm, his shield held tight as the great horse he was on kicked up the snow under its massive hooved feet. It was not the knight that caught the wolfs attention but it was the small elven girl that ran behind him. The wolf could smell her, her scent playing on his senses. The wolf could taste her already, his mouth began to water as the thoughts of elf for dinner made him hungry.

There was no need to rush into his meeting with the blue haired woman, he was not even sure how she would accept him. So at a slow crawl he moved from his hiding spot and with nose to the ground began to track the little elf. He followed her scent until he caught the smell of a fire and food cooking. The wolf crept in as close as he dared keeping to the shadow and staying back out of the light. He could see her now kneeling beside a camp fire stiring a pot, The wolf could taste in his mouth how sweet her flesh was going to taste. Being ever so careful he moved closer. looking around for the knight, he noticed that the mans horse was not around and that his scent lingered but wasnt close. He decided he must eat and now was the time.

A twig buried underd the snow snapped as the wolf made his attack. It was just enough warning for the little elven girl to tuck herself into a ball and roll out of the wolfs path. when she came to her feet crouched low she held a short bow in her hand. She fired three arrows at the wolf before he was able to get himself stopped and turned around on the snow and ice. None of the arrows had even come close to there target Her fourth arrow however hit just infront of the wolfs paw as he squared to make another attack.

The little elf was notching another arrow with a look of determination in her face she brought the bow up and aimed carefully. "Not today mister wolf" she said as she let the arrow fly, just as the wolf started his charge. The arrow hit its mark and the wolf fell over with a yelp, Then to her surprise it jumped to its feet and ran off. After only a few second thought the tiny elf grabbed her quiver and her skinning knife and gave chase. The whole time thinking of the coat she could make herself out of the wolfs pelt. She really didnt like the cold.

The tiny elf tracked the blood and soon came to a fallen log it was waist high to her and there was blood on it the wolf had crossed here. she hoisted her tiny body up onto the log and searched the ground for blood leading away. Looking down she saw the snow turning red just under the log. Jumping out and turning as she fell she landed in a crouch facing the log bow drawn and read to fire. but there was no wolf, but instead a man with an arrow sticking from his chest. His eyes were closed and she could not tell if he was breathing or not. The little elf crept closer placing one foot infront of the other as she kept her arrow trained on the man, He did not stir. She poked him in the side with the tip of her arrow, yet he did not flinch nor make a sound. She leaned in closer listening and looking, she relaxed the draw on the bow string and moved a little closer. before she knew what had happened her bow had been knocked from her hands and she had been forced back, she fell onto her back and the man was on top of her, she saw a glint of a knife as it flashed towards her. Not knowing what else to do the tiny elf brought her knees up hard and fast. The man grunted and lurched forward. Moving quickly she rolled him off her and jumped to her feet grabbing her own knife. The man lay on his side curled into a ball his hands grasping himself down below his waist. He was rocking side to side in great pain. The little elf decided it was time to run. As she ran away she heard the man moaning

"DAMN ELVEN WOMEN" and with loud moan "NOT AGAIN"

She thought she heard something about boney knees as she ran back towards camp.

Alric was sitting by the fire when she returned and the two of them went back after she told him of what had happened but the man was gone. She did not sleep well that night even though she shared a tent with Alric, Irene lay eyes wide open her skinning knife gripped tightly in her hands.
