A courier has delivered the following letter to Magnate Isk from Lord Regent Thraxas,

"Your Excellency,

As you know, my brother, Thraxanduril, or Thrax as you knew him, has been murdered in Yew, (Heartwood to be exact). The investigation has not gone smoothly, largely due to the intransigence of the elves who have neither cooperated fully with my agent, Lord Itannar, nor with my pleas that they help us discover the perpetrators of my dear brother's murder who are likely from among their own race.

It is because of this issue, and their clear untrustworthiness, that I have asked you to make an appearance in Yew to bolster the morale of its citizens, to let them know that we will not tolerate this kind of ill and unconscionable behavior from their neighbors in Heartwood. You need not make a public speech if you do not wish, as your mere appearance there will no doubt greatly encourage everyone who sees you. They all know you to be a man of integrity and one who is committed to justice and equity for the human race.

I will be at your side and together we can show the stubborn elves that there are still human leaders who shall not stand idly by while they use terrorist means to silence our voices.

I hope you will agree to this. If so, send word when we may meet. I suggest we begin at Covenant Castle and arrive in Yew simultaneously. If you incur any expenses, I shall, of course, pay them gladly.

Your friend,
Thraxas
Lord Regent of Yew"

Thraxas

"Never late were favours divine." I have recently come across this quote in my readings and add it in response to your letter as it is the thought of this Magincian that a greater hand holds the situation that has befallen Yew. I feel an obligation, nay: a push towards showing my presence in Yew that I think would be not becoming to resist. It is a task I must indulge in with the mind of a Purist. While the truth of the investigation you have launched can not be ascertained you can hold in your mind the fact that I will be at your side this coming Monday and speak on the behalf of my race against the killing enemy that hides in a tree.
