I'm considering getting it, but I had a couple of questions first Is it worth getting? Are the new housin gtiles cool? And, lastly, do I need KR to play SA? _________________

First, non opinion factual. You don't need KR. They discontinued that. There's stygian client and 2d. You can use both.
Now, opinions.
I love SA, so far. I've died... ALOT, but the area is gorgeous and the crafting is pure fun.
Housing tile. Here different opinions will hit, but I LOVE them. Far better than the ucky lef thing and the dark and crystals, (though, I like the dark) It's a far more sophisticated drawing. Less black line draw and more shading. Bgggest complaint? Their archways are lacking and the foundations aren't all there. I got it, don't really like it.
While gargoyles are very nice and have cool movement graphics there is something really lacking from the gargoyle lands. It seems too familiar.
The house design additions seem like a fuse between 3D and 2D, to me they look like they would be hard to use along with the old house customization things.
Don't like it but mind you I have no crafter characters so Im probably missing out on like 25% of the expansion. |

If you run vista the SA client is MUCH faster and you can do all sorts of fun macros. I run past speed hackers in fel now. Ask Sarian and Cal...it's good fun. |

I love the new expansion. There is SO much new stuff. Many quests, huge dungeon (biggest in uo history isnt it), and I think the house tiles rock. |

I've been enjoying it. I like the new imbuing skill a lot, farming the new pixel crack keeps me busy on slow days with work. _________________

And there's really weird looking animals. One must love owning things like chicken lizards, and skrees. *grins* _________________ (4:45:41 PM) Jarem: It becomes increasingly difficult to feel noble in my causes when my cause is to defend my charge from her own violent tendencies. |

Ter Mur, outside the northern part of the city. They are a whole game in themselves. The big goal is a battle chicken lizard. You can actually get a chicken lizard, have it make an egg, incubate the egg and try to get a battle chicken lizard off the egg. Chicken lizards make me think of FFVII.
Overall, I'm really shocked how much I like it. In my opinion, it's by far the best expansion ever. |

It looks like a lot of fun from what you have all said and what I have seen. Az has some of those fighting Chicken Lizards and they are a hoot to watch. I will be getting SA next payday. The imbuing and the crafting, also from what I have heard make it worth while. _________________ Ariana Lenoir[3:53 pm] She has all the subtlety of a rampaging elephant. |
