It wasnt so much that the vampire lay upon Cears bed unconcious that would bother one. It was the fact that the vampire was not next to Barls side. As he held the Mirror of Morgaz there is no other place she would rather be.

Add to that the fact that she was not laughing and chatting. Bouncing about with her usual gusto, hands to hips, and wry grin. It was silence, just the mad scribbles of Narcissa next to her. Shade had played her part, as a protection even if that meant distraction. She had been felled by Darrien he had touched her with Entropy. Oblivion had entered her mind and would it loosen its grip, would she rouse from this plane she wandered on?

Nightshade was still young, very young actually in the realm of Immortals. While she had studied next to Barl for 15 years now, she was still but a babe in the world. She was good, gifted and all that a master could desire in a student. Yet she was not experienced with Oblivion, and the power of Entropy.

That had just changed...

A mist of it had passed between Darrien and Nightshade and the family shield that encircled her had asborbed some of it. So Nightshade was not completely annihilated this eve.

Yet what was she now? She was out, she was not responsive and since she didnt breath, she certainy appeared, dead. She was, dead as a doornail, just not vanquished.... Yet really was that a blessing or a curse.
