"Cleaning, baking, cooking, stacking dishes, so much to do...but all is ready for tomorrow now" she says as she wipes her hands on her apron. Flour is in her hair and smudged on her face. She puts her hands on her hips and surveys the place smiling. "And even the cakes are decorated for Tati's wedding! I can't believe I got it all done in two days!" she says to herself.

She goes downstairs to check on Malcolm who has been toting flour sacks and honey for her all day. He has fallen asleep in the chair by the fire. She fixes herself a cup of tea, some mulled apple mead for him and a tray of cookies, still warm from the oven. She carries them over and nudges him. "Cookie hon?" she says, offering him the tray and the mead. He looks up at her and smiles nodding. "We are all set. Thanks for all your hard work today. Did you need any more gold for the provisions in the barn? I still have a little here." and pats the pocket of her apron.

He shakes his head and takes a long draw of the spicy brew and smiles. "Mmm...that hit the spot! Any time my dear. Cookies smell wonderful." he says as he picks one up from the pan and munches on it. "No need. The stables are ready for tomorrow night." He gently takes the corner of his napkin and wipes away the smudge of flour on her forehead grinning at her. She smiles back softly, smoothing her tussled hair back into the pins holding it up, leaving a soft white dust of flour on her shoulder that he brushes away for her. She touches his hand gently and smiles.

"I will be here in time to help you set up tables outside. I will help as I can with tending to the customers if you need me as well." She smiles at him softly. "What would I do without you." she says as they take up chairs by the crackling wood in the inviting hearth.

Quietly together, they sit by the fire, talking softly, enjoying the rest of the cool fall evening.
