An official courier of Thraxas locates Magnate Isk and presents this letter:

"Magnate Isk,

I hope you are in good health and prospering. I am given to understand that you have not been entirely well but I pray that bit of adversity has passed or at least waned considerably. I am quite certain that your oratorical abilities have not been duly impaired, nor has your keen intellect diminished remotely.

And so I cordially invite you to be the first intructor at the newly-built Alderglen Academy.

I am open to any suggestions you have for topics of study, but it is my wish that you teach your intriguing Humanist philosophy and reasoning. Such thoughts and ideas are timeless; they should never perish nor be forgotten, and so this school will aid in the perpetuation of them. There may be some unhappiness among those who consider the topic, or others that may be provided yet future, as divisive, or denigrating to other races, but this school merely wishes to represent the concepts without giving any formal approval to them. We wish for people to make up their own minds. I say this not as a disclaimer necessarily, but to allay any concerns you may have about our decision to invite you to teach the topic. In short, I know what we are getting into and it pleases me to do this.

The headmaster, a reliable man named Itannar, will make sure all your requests are met; you shall lack for nothing in terms of a suitable fee, copies of books to distribute to students, and other materials you may desire.

Please accept my offer. We can discuss dates, times, fees, and other things pertinent in a face to face meeting. I invite you to Covenant Castle one evening this week for dinner and conversation at a time most convenient to you.
