She dreamt long and deep her body turning ephemeral, the cold essence within her taking on yet a new transformation and it married with what she was, and what she was becoming. Their trip into the void had wrought change upon her, and her aura had shifted. Forever would she be Lycan, of the wolf subtype, this was unchangeable, but now a new understanding a new meaning infiltrated her. She embraced change for otherwise you fell unto it. She had always been proud of who she was, and WHAT she was. Yet she was even more proud of what they were together, what Stonegate had become.
Often, much criticism was thrown at them for their open minded ways. They let the criticism fall away like water, untouched by it, facts were plain to see, Stonegate grew in strength, something was being done right. Every creature from human to elf, from Vampire to Lycan, from Wraith to creatures that had no name, were rallying and joining them. Faith in one another empowered them, and they were rising, building a new society from childhood up.
Till the end of time, they would stand agianst their foe, which really was not one entity or thing. Being a warrior was a concept , not a skill. Living in strength was an action to take, and learn and know. Their true foe laid in cultish concepts, weakness of mind, and the option to take the easy way out of things. Their foe were the easily lead, eating eagerly of given propaganda, snatching up rumor for fact, ignoring what was in front of their eyes to see. Giving of their selves to the smoothest of tongues, walking down false paths, to take the easy and selfish road.
There were many forces and concepts in this realm, but perhaps none so destructive to Stonegate as those who believed in the ideals of Humanis, and they were growing again, spread out across Sosaria. Some formed close groups, some inflitrated other groups in a sprinkling of corrupted thoughts. She could sense the imbalance in things.
Yet she had faith, for the strong did not underestimate their foe, they paid no heed to smooth tongued snakes, they built thier lives on fact not assumption. They partook in no childish games of ridicule, they believed their foe for what they claimed to be. They studied it, learned of it and sought the best method to destroy it.
Indeed Stonegate was The Hated to some, they were Different, and they celebrated such. They were unto themselves The Chosen, forever destined to be, Warriors of Fate. _________________ May destiny guide you... |
