Uncertainly, Tucker the II wanders into Blackmarsh with a note. Well trained as he is he has no clue where to go so he leaves the note on the steps of the tavern.

Gerard,

I pray this is the right place. However if not this note will never reach you which would be a shame. Anyhow I just wanted to say, *pauses* thankyou for offering to get me out of the tree for free. I have considered climbing one just to see..

Gerard was in the "contract room" looking over the recent dealings with the new employers when he heard a slight scratch at the door, wondering what it was he walked over to the door and opened it. To his surprise it was a cat, not the mongbat he expected it to be, looking over the cat he spotted a note attached to his collar.

Wren,

Good to hear from you, I enjoyed talking with you last night in Moonglow. The offer still stands.

Tucker the II strolled up his proud tale held high. He had done a very good thing. He returned to his mistress with not only a note but also, much to her great boon a dead rat. In fact he had saved her the very best part. Its head. So with happy mew he dropped said head and note from yon Gentleman.

Wren wasnt sure what to do first. Remove the rathead or read the letter. Sanity dictated to her the head be removed so taking a cloth she wrapped the creatures beheaded wonder in it. Quietly she placed the head in the trash barrel. Returning to Tucker she fed him a treat and petted his proud little head.

Tucker the II let out another happy mew, she was surely saving that tasty rat head for another day as it was such a treasure. He decided that Wren should have many such gifts and bolted out the door. She sighed then remembered the note.

Picking it up she smiled, it was from Gerard. It was silly it was cliche'she knew, but her stomach did give perhaps the teensiest bit of a turn. She ignored it. Gerard was quiet, he was rather deadly she surmised, and that thrilled her to her very toes. She could almost hear her mother now, Your playing with fire Wren....

She sighed and said softly, well then let me burn...

Dear Gerard,

I know you are very busy and I dont want to pester you. I know I am not a woman of great knowledge or worldliness as I am sure you meet all the time. Yet still I am intrigued and ask only, might we maybe, perhaps, possibly, meet again sometime? If climbing a tree is necessary I shall but I have found that they chafe.. a bit, and would prefer not to.

Warmest Regards
Wren

Blushing heavily at her last line, she decided to send it off as soon as Tucker the II got back with the newest dead animal gift.

Gerard was in the tavern when he heard the familiar sound of scratching at the door, with the last swig of his ale he walked over to the door and opened it.

"ahh tucker... wait what the HELL?!"

*a small bird head lands on his boot*

"Well then, at least you have a note for me..."

*Gerard chuckled as he closed the door and began to read the note*

Wren,

No need to get yourself stuck up in a tree again, let me know when you are free and I will make time.
