Shade stood next to Myrddin the tavern had seen so many this eve. It was a busy eve. Myrddin ordered an ale and Abrah gladly complied. She headed to the back room. Abrah herself was frazzled what a busy night.

A new keg of ale had been set out and she leaned agaisnt the counter. I need an ale for the king! She said in a jaunty voice. Murray was sweet on Abrah and he set a second ale next to the first. You look tired my pretty. Have one on me. She smiled. Thanks Murray, and slowly drank down the ale. He chatted with her a bit until at last they heard a yell from the other room. Oh no! Murray I forgot his drink! She turned walking slowly towards the wolf kings table and stopped her body shaking for a moment.

Was it just her or did it get louder in here, people everywhere, the roar of it filling her head. All the people... all the eyes on her. She took another step then paused. Nightshade lifted a brow, Abrah had taken a long time and was walking a bit oddly towards the table. The waitress stopped to look at Myrddin her eyes filled with fear. Something was not right. She set it down before him.

Myrddin picked up the glass lifting it towards his mouth. When a graceful white hand covered the drink. Don't Shade stared at Abrah another moment and then at the drink. Poison, Myrddin, I can smell it in your drink. Its not right. He tossed it against a wall with a roar.

Abrah screamed running up the stairs thinking the Wolf king himself was after her and ran full tilt off the roof of the meadhall. Out the windows they all saw the body fall as it plunged to its death landing with a neck cracking thud on the ground.

The occupants of the tavern came out the Wolf king with Shade close to his side. He shook his head. What next?

With a great growl he proclaimed loudly. From here on out all food and drink shall be tested for toxins and contagions. No person shall drink or eat anything without testing it first. Someone destroy that body.
He turned to her, I will need your help with this Shade. She smiled softly. Poison? Laughter echoing in the night.
