The last few days had brought a lot of change to the way the Blood Clan was living. The orcs had just moved into a nice big stronghold that was going to serve the purpose of a main home. They've seen the orcs tear down the small fort that they had used to protect Umbra and attack Sanctus. They had brought allies becoming enemies, and those enemies aligning with the old ones. As well as a whole slew of new questions and things to consider.
Their new home, nearly twice the size of the one outside umbra, sat on uncontested land offering a peaceful area to rest away from battlefronts. No longer sitting between two enemies, made the likelihood of attack drastically lower. And It was big enough to store all the battle supplies they would ever need with room to spare. The first level an open area with a wooden palisade granted the space necessary for clan use. The north side was built to allow the guards to have easy access to enemies anywhere below, should the place be threatened.
The orcs had been using the fire pit a lot more than anticipated. Aside from the predicted Zug Zug cooking on it, the pit had become the spot for all kinds of chatter. It even became the hosting place for company. Members of Stone Gate and The Triad had been invited to sit and talk with them, and endure the bickering of Vidish and Frub-Mul as well as the constant criticism of Fiona D'Rue's "Pup maka" Malikhia via Zug Zug. The tone had been considerably light considering the odds stacked against them. The clan's trust in Grash-Nak kept them from stressing over the undefined battle plans. "Ee du wat Grash sey. Fer now, uu sit and hab som trok." The focus on Verity Isle was gone, the focus on "da sneekies" was gone, and the focus on Umbra had taken on a whole new light.
The fear of the relationship between Stonegate and the orcs had prompted The Lich Lord's attempt to gain leverage over Grash-Nak. He offered to make Grash-Nak one of them, which bred some fear. Shortly after, Grash-Nak was enraged by the fact that the "Deddies" would try to withhold the information on an ancient relic. The undead were good to the orcs but not to be trusted; this however, was not going to be tolerated. After two short fights Darien Church had been put on the "Clomp em" list.
Lots of changes and lots of questions in just a couple days. The Blood Clan had gone from helping the liches with burning Moonglow and sacrificing Eddard to Oblivion, to now being hunted by them both side by side. Why would Darrien give up looking for the book just to deal with the orcs? Were the undead really this scared of them? Was the Lich lieing about the artifact? Did it really even mean anything to get an artifact from a clan long gone and unrelated? It was all up to Grash Nak, and he had a loyal following of capable warriors. _________________ "You believe in that voodoo crap, will you please pray to God for me?"-Garret
