An ethereal messenger arrives to find the encampment deserted, as anticipated. As instructed to do, the ghostly courier tacked the message to a wooden chest in the northernmost tent.

Dear Zach and Mother,

It is with joy I am writing to tell you, our son Christopher came into the world just before dawn this morning.

Please be happy for us, and if you are able, try to understand the path that I have chosen. It is where I think I need to be right now for so many reasons.
