Cal strolled into the fields north of Umbra, determined to find those who had offered his contract. Setting upon Charnel Hill, he sees the orc chieftan Grash-Nak, Lord Shalcross, along with many other of those who have sworn to Oblivion standing behind Shalcross. Cal approached Shalcross on his ethereal mount.

"It's been some time, Shalcross."

"Cal. I tried to send a messenger to you tonight."

"I never got it."

"It was too late."

"It was very late. We aren't being paid to sit on our arses, Shalcross."

"We will pay you for tonight, Cal."

"For what? Being considered? You insult me, Shalcross. Your frequency of battles over these past few weeks and the fact that we haven't been contacted has made me no money. We are exploring other opportunities."

"This was our first battle..."

"Be that as it may, we are not being paid. We are going to consider other contracts. Farewell."

Cal turned on his ethereal ki-rin, heading back towards Umbra's moongate. "Let's see what Moonglow and others can offer now."
