Last Thursday
Yasamin stared out to the west from headquarters, her mind trying to wrap itself around the loss, and more, how to get it back. A fierce battle had raged the day before, with only two standing. Sadly, the man fighting for gGlow had given up. She touched the scar on her side and frowned. Would he have given up if it'd been Zento? She highly doubted it. Her mind wandered, leaving her ears shut to the pandemonium building up ouside
A sharp yell brought her back from her reverie. Grabbing her book, she ran downstairs, seeing the lawn covered in orcs and a man awaiting her with the chief Grash-nak. He introduced himself as Raban Ne'Svetti. A request for meeting made, Yasa turned and looked, seeing her men surrounded. After a promise that no harm would come to either parties, she led Mr. Ne'Svetti and Grashnak into the meeting room.
"I have come with a message from the Lich Lord, Darrien Church, Onder of the..." Raban began.
"Stop. I get it, mojo deddie. Get on with it." Yasa held up her hand. Really, there was one spot that the orcs had it right. Deddies and Mojo Deddie.
Looking slightly perturbed, he continued. "The lich lord wishes to show great compassion to the city he once lived, by offering a generous choice. Give Moonglow over, and become vassal to the Lich Lord, or we will destroy and burn the city down."
Yasamin stared blankly. Did he really just blatantly say, give in or die? Nooo...She started feeling warm, and looked over towards the front of the building
"So, you're saying if I give in, I own the town, as a vassal, and the orcs leave, or you'll burn the city down?"
Before he could respond, Grashnak stated the obvious the other's weren't acknowledging. "Is the building on fire?"
They ran outside to see a man setting fire fields all over the building, trying to incite the orcs to visolence. The orcs looked to Grash, who's look held them in check. SHe started yelling, though truly, if asked later what, she wasn't quite sure. Something about agreements and shoving and sunshine. The male, Aragothias, or as yasa thought, Aragie, said some very choice things, again, most she'd forgotten in her anger, though having to do with backsides. When her mnd cleared and the orcs were gone, and more, her men sufficiently healed enough to come in, she stopped, staring as she realized that far more was to come. The cemetary and armory field were just a stepping stone. _________________ (4:45:41 PM) Jarem: It becomes increasingly difficult to feel noble in my causes when my cause is to defend my charge from her own violent tendencies. |
