Lord Thraxas

I bear some news .I wish to offer you a position of certain authority. As you know I have perhaps gone a bit greyer and perhaps a bit less invovled in the day to day aspects of running our fair lands
I wish to offer you the position of Lord Regent of Yew and all duties that shall come with the post. Sir please respond at your earliest convenience.

Lord Sid ,King of Yew *sealed with the seal of Yew in green wax*

A letter arrived at Thraxas Manor bearing the official seal of the King of Yew. Thraxas took it from his servant, went to his private office, sealed the door, opened the missive and read it carefully. He sat down in his replica of Lord British's throne, somewhat stunned by it.

He wishes to meet with me to appoint me Regent of Yew? Interesting!

Perhaps it was a human emotion, or pride, or some vestige of his human counterpart's mindset that coveted control of Yew, but the concept intrigued him greatly. He refused to dismiss the offer out of hand, and after a few hours' contemplation penned a suitable reply:

"Your Majesty, King Sid,

As you know my brother, Thraxanduril, has vanished without a trace, but has left me in charge of his estate. I have looked after it with all the care I can muster. I have freed the serfs and removed the riff-raff that he allowed to dwell here and so have found Alderglen to be a place for quiet contemplation and the pursuit of fine arts.

However, I continue to take an active interest in Yew as it will always be the eternal home of my ancestors. For the sake and love of my brother and my forbears, and in honor of them, you, and the people of Yew, I gladly accept your offer. I vow to do my utmost to make Yew the center of my attention and to implement or further policies that shall continue to guide it along the path toward true greatness.

You have but to name the time and place for our meeting. I offer you the use of my own estate for this, but any location you choose will of course be suitable.

I await your reply eagerly.

Your Servant,
Thraxas
Governor of Alderglen"

Thraxas sealed it and sent it to the King by his most trusted courier
