|
Is there a way to toggle a "maximum width option" for the boards? I have a widescreen monitor, and I usually browse maximized. Then coming to this board I have to manually set a width so the page doesn't scroll 1440 pixels across my screen. I'd imagine this would help some other people people that browse here as well who do the same. Perhaps it could be a user preference option somehow? _________________

I'll check into it. The only one I can find now adjusts the forums to a percentage of the screen (50%, 60%, 90% etc...), however it's a set number for all users, and not a user option. There has to be something better hanging around though, considering the prevalence of wide screen monitors. _________________ "There are those who dream to escape reality, and there are those who dream to change it." |

That would be cool my desktop is a normal size but when I use my laptop it is a wide screen so looks funky with the wasted space. |

I have NO IDEA if this is even remotely what you guys are talking about, but the new Internet Explorer has that "compatability view" option.
Something about webpage layouts and stuff. Might help? Probably won't. _________________ I have no idea what you are talking about.

I hear people bad talk it all the time, but I've never had any problems with it. Never gotten a virus. Nothing.
I tried Firefox, but didn't like the layout or the download file box. _________________ I have no idea what you are talking about.

I found some code that I adapted for the forum. Users can now change the width of their screen through a user profile selectable option.
Give it a try and let me know how it works. _________________ "There are those who dream to escape reality, and there are those who dream to change it." |

Everything looks good so far! Currently at 1000px as a width and its not bugging out at all. I'll try some more later. But nevertheless, great job as always Hal. _________________
