Like so many times before, she stirred in the night.
She slipped out of bed, feet padding softly on the floor, and wrapped a cloak around her shoulders. She tucked her sword away and headed for the moongate. Tonight she would choose Luna. She rushed through the quiet city, passing by several large houses, out into the wilderness.
When she reached a path in a mountain passage, she slowed to a walk. Once she made it into the clearing her barefeet hit snow. She looked around at large stone keeps and lanterns glowing in the night. She stopped to wiggle her toes into the snow and breathe in her surroundings. She blinked in confusion.. No, it couldn't be.. She breathed in again.. She turned on the spot and sped back faster than she had come.
The house finally in sight, she burst in, ran to where her sister was sleeping and pounced on her.
"Nora.." she shook her.. "Nora!" she shook her a little harder..
"Huh??" Nora squinted at her with only one eye open.
"You won't BELIEVE what I just smelled"

"wha....what do you want let me sleep" nora groaned as she tried to push her sister away. hugging the blanket tighter she closed her eyes and pretended to snore "go away im asleep cant you hear me snoring" she said quietly. Alex shook her again and again repeatedly till nora finally sat up. rubbing her eyes she blinked a few times and turned towards Alex. "well dont just sit there what did.......Yawwwwwwwn........what did you smell?"
