Lexi stared at the pile of crumpled up scrolls left abandoned on the floor in the corner. Apparently I'm turning into an idiot, she thought. She uncrumpled the last one, smoothed it out, then wrinkled her nose. She copied the letter, almost word for word, before giving it to a mountain man, who looked excessively perplexed to have become a messenger.

Vian,

I had wanted to write to inform you I should be visiting Sanctus soon.

As she watched the man leave she sighed. When soon was, she had no idea. She probably should have thought of that before sending the scroll off.

From outside the sound of a head hitting a wall could be heard.

After the messenger handed him the note Vian slowly opened it and read the contents.

"Hmm... Lex, that is the girl from the tavern the other night, lets see if she actually comes."

With that the Young Prince placed the note into his pouch and returned to the intelligence reports he had been reviewing.
