A man awoke in the Inn of Umbra, unsure of where he was, who he was or even what his name was. He had a few flashes of memory, a few crumbs from dreams. Surrounded by the bloody dark of Umbra did not make him feel afraid, but rather comforted him. His fragments were an incoherent stream of jumbled mess... screams, blood, sex, harsh betrayals, dragons, demons, lich, wars and lots of darkness... there were two names in his mind, neither his own... Bailos and Tatiana.

The first name brought him to the hills north of Umbra, where he found a throne with which he could only describe as "Mine" but no other way of... a commotion outside, he approached the others gathered in the clearing as an orc brought forth a woman obviously mistreated. Her name was spoken, Tatiana... and he knew her... feelings began to twist inside the man, not of love, or lust, but of obsession and possession.

The woman Tatiana seemed to fear him, or was it disgust?

This woman knew his name! With questioning she spoke it... "Lord Aragothias" and the memories began to flow and reorder themselves, that was his name, in another life, but not in his first... so many lifetimes, so much knowledge, yet always mortal, never undead... a sharp contrast to the company he kept.

The woman was brought before him in a spire of ebony, and his orders were simple... A Violation, a Beating, and a message.

Lord Aragothias took great pleasure in the violation, not so much in the beating... the message was a simple enough chore.

Once finished with his duty, his thoughts turned to a new obsession... his seat to the left hand of the Lich Lord.
