Having slaughtered over the last few days a host of humans to Oggaroth, Thraxas, bored and frustrated, tossed the bloodied sacrificial dagger away and sat down heavily on his throne. The rooftop pavement was slick with fresh and coagulating blood and the odor of burning flesh filled his nostrils. "Where are they?!" he spat, slamming his mailed fist down violently on the arm of the throne. He cursed as the arm-rest made of bone splintered and fell off. "You promised me help, but none is forthcoming! What more is it you want of me?" he queried to no one in particular. Then he waited in silence.
An answer came in the appearance of a swirling black cloud that rose swiftly within the enormous pentagram, which slowly took the shape of a lithe and sensuous woman dressed entirely in black. Her eyes blazed blood-red against the pale skin of her face. She pursed her lips and strode forward with a confidence and fearlessness clearly born of a belief in personal superiority.
"Erinyes Fueri!" Thraxas exclaimed, recognizing her immediately, as he stood up.
She winked at him but stopped and slowly surveyed her surroundings. "So *this* is what the material plane looks like," she stated calmly. "I cannot say I am impressed so far my dear Thraxas."
"I am glad you've come," he replied, trying, but failing, to conceal the happiness in his voice. "I am sure things will improve with your touch," he added.
"I hope you won't ask me to bow." It was a statement, not a question.
"There is none of that here. We are equals. Has Oggaroth told you much?"
"He told us enough. You have many enemies, old friend. Luckily for you, I am not one of them... and, sorry to bear bad news, but don't expect many to come right away. They think you are trying to trick them."
"Trick them?! How?"
Erinyes shrugged absently. "They are fools, and they do not know you like I do. But do not fret. If you do what Oggaroth says you mean to do, more will arrive."
"We shall have to show them then."
Erinyes looked at the skin of her arm. "So this is human flesh is it?"
Thraxas nodded. "Aye, soft and tender, quite unlike our own. You will find it cumbersome, itchy and annoying, but it has its value in other ways," he said, smiling.
"I can imagine!" she replied. "My insides feel rather strange. There is a burning sensation."
"It is called 'hunger.' You must fill yourself with what they call 'food' here. Most of it tastes terrible, but some is quite satisfying. Come, I will have my servant prepare you a meal."

Her hand lifted up to touch the soft silken hair on her head, she pushed it from her face and it fell in ripples down her back. She felt hyper sensitive, every movement, every touch of air against this skin seemed to echo loudly thru her. It was odd and unnatural.
Thrax was true to his word and her lips curved into a smile as the food was brought before her. She stared at it for a moment in disdain. Tiresome, weak, eating seemed a waste to her, the fact that this mortal coil she was inserted in demanded such was an affront to her. Her red eyes drifted over the food and her hand reached forward to touch the cold steel of a knife. That felt good, that made sense. In all this the small sharp weapon in her hand felt much more familiar. She had never needed such things, a spell caster by nature, but at least she knew of them and had held them before.
This blades intention was to cut meat. Meat...Flesh. She licked her lips her tongue running against the hard bone of her teeth. She wasnt wholly displeased, they would suffice. The room was quiet, Thrax observing her as she acquainted herself, Her eyes flickering over him, his form and the oddity of it all hit her. Yet it was worth it, she would adjust she would have Vengeance..
He looked lost in thought his mind busy planning no doubt, he had always been a clever creature. Her mind moved across fathoms and planes remembering his visits to Oggaroths realm it seemed distant and foreign.
Dinner concluded the odd sensation in her *mortal bodies stomach* subdued, she stood. Wandering to an open window to gaze upon her surroundings. It wasnt long before she heard his chair move behind her, as he came up to stand next to her.
The night was black, there wasnt much light, she felt releif over this. This world is very odd, anger boiled up insider her as she stared out at the peaceful landscape. Its to quiet Thrax, to peaceful, to easy... Her voice steady and determined.
He smiled, she was hungry again but not for mortal foods, for blood, death, chaos.. In its own rite it was beautiful. To any demon the lust for destruction was intoxicating.
His voice reverberated around the room, Erinyes your right, its to quiet, thats why we are here...
So what now? her eyes turning to lock with his. We Kill, We Destroy.. We rule..Thrax said with firm tone, and watched as her eyes almost lit the world on fire.... |
