Does ARPC have a ventrilo server? Just curious because it could generate a great deal of rp advantages if the Community doesn't

Vent lags you that bad? Even on terrible connection it should only be eating up about 50-80 ms

Most guilds do use thier own vent servers, but are welcoming to others.

Infact i think Sanctus even has thier vent set up for anyone in the community.

I really have to wonder if it wouldn't be useful to set up a full-on community vent server. Any guild interested could have their own channel, plus there could be general channels like Farming, Champ Spawns, PvP, etc. I guess I'm just spoiled from having a sizeable guild that I ran in WoW but there are definitely days where I'd love to be able to talk to people while I'm doing solo stuff... or even better, look for people to group up with! I can't afford it right now, but if there's enough interest in such a venture I could look into like a 40-man server come payday.

I personally find being in vent to be distracting when I'm trying to rp. I've been known to zone out the whole vent room without trying, while I was busy in game. Makes me have to ask people to repeat things constantly ><.

I would invite earth to join my vent, but its such a pain in the ass to get people in vent these days.
TS is seeming a better choice each day.

Vent suddenly rejected me. Kain, MTC has a Teamspeak sever, and Cear's is also a good option (though they could only hear me...not vica versa...).

Also, Cein... I totally agree. When I am RPing, I usually take off my headset because I can't focus on so much at once.

I pop into Cear's once in a while. Other than that, I have two non-UO vents that I frequent.
