By now, the young boy knows exactly who gets the sealed, appropriately marked scroll that he carries in his hand. He doesn't know much about the heavily hooded and mysterious figure that keeps paying him and his friends to deliver these messages, but a life on the streets has taught him the wisdom of not asking too many questions. Besides, the strange man pays more gold per message than the boy would normally see in 2 years worth of pick-pocketing and begging. Who cares if he has to go to Umbra? It's not THAT scary, and dodging a necromancer now and then was well worth the payment he was getting.

The sealed scroll, addressed only to The Boss, reads:

Boss,

I thought you might like to know that both of our current target organizations have displayed a curious weakness as of late. Over the past several days I have spotted several Moonglow Militia members as well as warriors from the Zento ninja clans slaying various beasts around the Tokuno Islands---alone. Until recently, our enemies have always had the advantage of numbers (making the furtherance of some of your plans….difficult), but lately it seems more and more of them are branching out on their own. I hear that several powerful and valuable artifacts have been found on the corpses of slain Tokuno monsters lately, so perhaps greed has gotten the best of our marks?

Some of them appear to have favorite hunting grounds as I have spotted the same people in these same places on numerous occasions. I can give you details, in person, when next we meet. You and I both know the dangers of habit and routine, but it appears some our targets have not learned that lesson.

An ambush could be easily set if you so desire. My blades are ready, you need only give the order.

Not only that, but every time I see our enemies out killing in the wilds of Tokuno means that one less layer of defense is present at their respective houses--an exploitable weakness, perhaps?
