Kal'iksix strolled through the Quarter with Vas'al following closely in Isis' arms. Even though she was a human, she was really the only one she trusted to assist with the care of Nalimar's and her son. Perhaps it was because of the intense fear that Nalimar instills in her or the power that Kelly placed in her that made Isis so very eager to serve the Drow house. Kal'iksix chuckled to herself as she walked past the newly erected Tier Breche. She paused and watched as the wizards of the Sorcere lit her own verson of the Narbondel. The light grew warm and Kal'iksix heard Vas'al squeal in delight.
Kal'iksix and Isis continued their walk in complete silence as they continued down to the temple. Kal'iksix approached the alter and bowed before her Goddess' scared altar. Kal'iksix dropped to her knees and began a silent prayer to thank the Goddess for the previous night's surprise. Silently deep in meditation, bits of the previous night's events replayed in her mind.
"In honor of the birth of your son, I grant you all the property on which your houses reside."
The Matriarch had given the Quarter to Kal'iksix. The Matron thanked Lolth for providing her with a Patron who not only had a silver tongue when it came to diplomatic affairs but also the keen eye for detail. Nalimar had drawn up a detailed map, per Kal'iksix's request of the Drow Quarter and had presented it to the Matriarch as she had requested. Kal'iksix also offered prayers to bestow the Queen's Blessing upon Ceinwyn as well. The Matriarch may not be a follower but Kal'iksix still saw the Drow in Ceinwyn's heritage. Kal'iksix finished her prayers of thanks to the Spider Queen and turned towards Isis. She reached and took Vas'al from Isis' arms and brought him up to the alter with her.
"This is now your land. You are the first pure Drow to be born on the surface but you remain very much a citizen of Menzoberranzan."
Kal'iksix smiled a little when Vas'al cooed and smiled at his mother's voice. He was a very content child, still so innocent and yet he carried the potential to be as strong as his father and as deadly. A cool breeze blew through the temple and Kal'iksix paused. She looked up at the mosaic of Lolth on the ceiling of the temple. The breeze came again but this time there was a whisper of a single word.
