The rain came down hard as it had many times in past weeks...and the Legion of Justice's army trampled over the wet muddy grass, inching ever closer to the southern slums of Minoc, going to take back what was theirs. From their perspective, the three southernmost huts of the peasantry could be seen. On top of them stood Azrael, 1st Zealot of the Azerothian Zealot Guard, with his squad of archers, the raindrops rolling down their shadow iron metal helmets and down their wet hands, which were all gripping ready bows and arrows, every archer ready to fire at the slightest twitch.

Even closer the ground forces of Azeroth could be seen, all in their dark royal purple cloaks, lead by the Lord of Azeroth himself, Balbanes. As the Legion got closer, Balbanes spoke softly "You remember the plan, Warlord...If they get too close, fire "it." he said to Mairsil. Mairsil nodded.
Everything was in unison for the Azeroth Army. The black boots all lined up perfectly...the iron shadow chainmail covering their legs and torso...each link in perfect order. The helms, sashes, and cloaks, all freshly polished and washed, now caked with mud and rain from the long march from center city to the southern slums...

As the Legion inched closer, Azeroth was suprised to find it was not the Legion at all, but simply Vaen Swiftar and Natalya Vorn accompanying a large squad of Praetorian Guardians. The Praetorians bore their dark grey cloaks and robes with their sleek, plain, sturdy armor, and Vaen rode along side them in his 'biancan' white doublet, with the rain pouring down on his valorite armor. The downpour clanked against every piece of metal on the battlefield, creating what sounded like a million drops slamming against a million tin cans, over and over.

The Praetorians and Vaen drew their weapons, and charged forth. Azerothians slew Praetorians, Praetorians slew Azerothians...the bloodbath went on for hours, each side fueled by its mutual respect and hatred for its adversary. Vaen remained alive, directing his plutoon forward, and apparently too close for comfort. Azeroth was losing men and being pushed back fast, and it was retreating further and furhter back into its northernmost foxholes, when finally Balbanes shouted up to the roof where the archers were perched "Azrael!!!! Do it!"

At this, Balbanes' 1st Zealot shot an arrow, and from behind the house, a huge stone was hurled forth...Azeroth had hidden catapults behind the archers. All of Azrael's plutoon ducked, and the stone crashed right into a swarm of Praetorians, killing them all. At this, Vaen directed his plutoon back further, and further, but the Imperial Army did not chase them. Vaen stood, and looked over his plutoon. "Alright..." he said. "We have secured some territory. Good job indeed, troops. Today was a victorious day for the light."

He began directing a busy traffic of soldiers, and ordered some squires up from the back lines...he was building a Siege encampment. Soon the reinforcements, Legion soldiers came, and occupied the tents. The Praetorian Guard had not been successful in retaking Minoc, but they had been successful enough to give Vaen just what he needed, a siege camp.
