Alaundril was sitting at one of the only tables that had been moved into his place of business, outside the sign read "Spider's Kiss Trading Co." The Drow Quarter of Umbra was quiet this late evening. He found himself unable to sleep here on the surface and the stinging burning sun only made days more painful to endure. A single candle burned at the table as the old assassin wrote a brief letter to his contact in the Drow Matriarchy:

Mistress:
I have learned of some interesting developments involving a mutual pest. Please see to it that we meet this evening to discuss how we will handle this. I will fill you in on the details and what I have in mind.

Yours in Chaos,
-The Boss-

The Drow quickly sealed the letter with the standard scarlet "S" and moved downstairs. Quickly he moved to the tavern next door, and left the letter for the Matron with a slave to be delivered to the Matron promptly, or suffer the consequences...

Kal'iksix snatched the note from the slave's hand and glared to signal his dismissal. She recognized the scarlet "S" and grinned slightly. She opened the note and scanned it quickly. She reached over the bar of the new tavern and grabbed one of the bar tabs and wrote her reply.

First off you forget you do NOT order me to a meeting. Secondly, I will be available this evening seeing over the last of the preparations for the The Web. The guards will allow you to pass in the upstairs meeting room. It would be wise to NOT keep me waiting.

Yours in the Goddess,
The Matron

Kal'iksix folded the bill tab, summoned the slave, and sent him on his way with a fresh split lip.
