Soke Bishimi,
Some disturbing news has reached my ears. It seems that recently, some of your 'ninjas' have been revealed while spying on Moonglow. Also, we found a communication crystal planted in our Headquarters, which is believed to have been planted by one of your own. The following is a list of things that have been done by yours to Moonglow.
1) Unauthorized entries into Moonglow citizens' homes.
2) Threats to burn down homes and Moonglow itself
3) Stealth-spying on Moonglow
4) Possibly planted a communication crystal in our Headquarters.
Now after you have done all of this, I sincerely hope that you have FINALLY figured out that we have had nothing to do with this sword that you believe us to have taken. I believe that you have insulted Moonglow enough, not only with your words, but your actions. It seems that this sword is merely a reason for you to egg a fight on with Moonglow. A fight that will do nothing for either of us.
It is my suggestion, as a fellow leader, that you call off your spies, you stop planting crystals, and you finally accept that we have had nothing to do with this missing sword of yours.

Bishimi, upon reading the letter sits down and begins to pen his responce.
Cal,
It seems to me that -you- are the one confused. I cannot help but to go through your list of accusations and answer each individually. Each is unwarranted on your part and only helps me to believe my accusations are....just.
First, while you say "unauthorized entry" at this time, if my memory serves me right you allowed us the opportunity to look....and look we did. We searched every inch of your land that you allowed. Of course you wouldn't allow us to search where our artifact may be, that would not be smart on your behalf.
Second, I do not simply threaten. If you should continue this farce I will be forced to take a more...aggressive tone where our search is concerned. All facts point to you or the people of your land, and if you cannot control your people enough to at least know what they are doing...then perhaps in charge you should not be.
As far as your last two "charges" against my men i can only say this...we were there because we found several, 6 so far, crystals in our home. As cleverly placed as they were my men are better then to let such things go unnoticed. We traveled to your lands in hopes that we would not find their other half there. Unfortunately that is exactly what we found...at least two of your men huddled around said object. It is only because one of yours had an uncanny ability to find us in the shadows that you are even aware we were there. When our clans are at war, and i say "when" because I see no other outcome, she will be the first to feel our blades.
It is simple as this mayor Hurst...the facts speak much and here they are as I see them.
1) The very night you made your visit to our lands is the night our artifact came up missing. This alone would be reason to suspect, but on top of that your men chose to argue with mine. From everything i have gathered that night was not the most peaceful.
2) That very same night you chose to not stand with the men you swore to stand by. You left all of us to fend for ourself in a very tough battle. Not only that but you chose to stand and watch as we fought for our lives, then complain when your men become a part of it due to proximity.
3) Our artifact not only comes up missing but the only thing we find in its stead is an item clearly crafted by one of your people.
4) We come back from a mission only to find these "communications crystals" , I believe people of your land call them, scattered throughout our home. While my first guess is "Moonglow planted them!" my Shihan Garrett took the higher path and asked for more proof. We found it in the way of your people surrounding the receiver to said crystal in your very own guild house.
These four points alone give me enough reason to have my people bring yours to its knees....but this is not what I want...I simply want what is ours. I implore you to find out who of your men may have committed such an act. Give him, her or them to us and we will have nothing further to discuss. I never once accused you directly as, through our talks, have come to find you an agreeable person. It is unfortunate that our recent correspondence has shown me otherwise.
I give you two moons time to come with a suitable answer...if not...I'm afraid we will be forced to take drastic measures to see our needs met.

Soke Bishimi,
It appears that you only wish to go to war for no reason other than to feed your bloodlust. It also appears that honor means nothing to you or yours, despite your claims. I have told you time and time again that Moonglow has no use for this little knife that is missing, but you are blinded simply by your bloodlust. I had held you and your people in higher regard than this.
Moonglow never "swore" to fight alongside anyone. Apparently your spies gave you the wrong information. We had a debt to pay to the Cappadocians. We paid it. We told them we would not participate in the battle. Apparently some of them wanted to go watch the fight for whatever reason, and I didn't endorse that. But they were attacked. Some went out of the way to attack members of Moonglow. That was the problem.
"Unauthorized Entry." Yes. I had a strict agreement with those who came to Moonglow that they could search every place, and only the homes they were allowed to enter. This was an AGREEMENT. Nevertheless, your brigands decided to enter homes they were told not to. And guess what? STILL no sword was found.
Allow me to find your line of thinking...
1) Moonglow comes up with a random idea to steal a sword from the Blue Lotus
2) Moonglow (with all of our shadow walkers) sets up crystals in your lands and your headquarters
3) Moonglow successfully steals the sword
All of this supposedly went smoothly, but for some reason...
4) The thief finds the sudden urge to strip, and and sheds a piece of clothing, conveniently marked by Moonglow makers, at the scene of the crime.
Are you people so easily deceived as this?
Sanctus was atleast intelligent enough to know they were being set up. Perhaps if such games can easily be played upon you and yours, then YOU are the one not fit to be in charge.
Cal Hurst
Mayor of Moonglow
