Eddard rode his steed, a fine cloak of red velvet flew from his shoulders, careening down trails as the scenery flew by Eddard thought about the army they had gathered and all the training that would be held in the coming weeks. Some of the soldiers were veterans who needed no training, but some were a little wet behind the ears he could tell. After their training the army would be a force to be reckoned with and he smiled at the thought. In truth he had never lead an army and the idea made a shiver run down his spine. He was nervous no doubt, but he was confident in his abilities and the abilities of his comrades. All that he needed to train an army was at his disposal, weapons, armor, gold, and the determination and loyalty of good men. As he careened down the trail something in the sky caught his eye and he brought his horse to a stop in a small clearing. A hawk circled him and it was low enough that he could see it's feathers rippling in the current of air. He met it's gaze and saw that the hawk had beautiful large brown eyes. As soon as he had met the hawks gaze it caught a gust of wind and turned, flying off into the blue abyss. A good sign he thought to himself. A good sign for the Imperial Praetorian Guard.
