At the last Protectorate meeting Moonglow declared it's alliance with the Cappadocians.
The Protectorate is engaged in an active war with the vampires and it's allies.
Your threat of war means little considering you have chosen, once again, to back an evil guild.

Lord Malo,

So be it. Despite Moonglow receiving an apology on behalf of the Regent, and Lord Walter expressing his dissatisfaction for the actions of you and yours, you believe your actions to be that of righteousness, when in fact they are of stupidity. You believe yourself to be in the right, when in fact you are seeing things differently. The Protectorate may have engaged in war, but your actions were your actions alone, and I cannot wait to see the look on your face next Protectorate meeting with the collective minds at the table calling you an idiot for your actions.

If you are so quick to make enemies simply because of who one is friends with, then you, too, are a cancer of the Protectorate.

You speak of good and evil as if it were black and white. Perhaps it is your old age, or past actions, that have jaded your vision, or it might be a bloodlust that festers within you. Whatever you wish to call it, it has only put you and your friends in danger. You know not the power of Moonglow that you have awakened.

You will regret your actions, for you will be seeing us soon.

Cal Hurst
Mayor of Moonglow

Odd that you recieved an apology on behalf of the Regent. It was he that agreed a campaign to harrass Moonglow was a good idea.
As for quick to make enemies, it was Moonglow that declared war on the United Alliance and allied with the vampires.
We have consistantly made every effort to avoid interaction with Moonglow since the Minoc/Yew war but the ally of my enemy is my enemy.
Of course if you have decided to not take part in this conflict between the Protectorate and the Cappadocians then we will continue to ignore you as before

Lord Malo,

If you wish to declare that your harassment of Moonglow is by order of the Regent, and is Protectorate approved, then Moonglow will treat it as such. It is unfortunate that you cannot be made to see reason. It is also unfortunate that you wish to send your ill-prepared men to battle against Moonglow. Moonglow was only initially in this war to lend a hand to its friends. Due to your actions, however, Moonglow is more involved in this war than before.

Remember, Malo, that this was your doing. Claim that it was Moonglow's doing by aligning with the Cappadocians all you wish. You are the -ONLY- member of the Protectorate who saw it fit to attack us. All other members of the Protectorate chose the diplomatic route. Yet you, the supposed "Honorable" Legion, chose it fit to declare an all out war by attacking us on Moonglow's soil.

Remember, Malo, that it was your actions that awoke the beast that is Moonglow. When your armies lay slaughtered on the field of battle, with Moonglow's banner raising high, continue telling your soldiers that you are righteous, and you are doing what the Regent wants you to.

Remember, Malo, when your soldiers are getting tired of constantly being bested in every field of combat; at every corner of Sosaria, that it was your decision to personally involve Moonglow in this war.

Remember, Malo, when you are beaten, bruised, and left out in the cold, that this was your doing. Only then, will you realize, that you are nothing.

Remember.

Yes I know we are a small guild and not nearly as powerful as Moonglow. Yes we expect to lose
It is not the winning that matters. Might does not make right.
It is the willingness to stand in battle and take that loss because we believe there is such a thing as evil.
As usual, Moonglow attempts to blame others for their position and spout things like there is no black and white or good and evil.
I am sure you are just a complex person that is simply misunderstood and not at all the manipulative, egotist you appear to be.

Lord Malo,

If you believe that you are doing the right thing by standing in battle and losing continuously because "you believe there is a such thing as evil," then you are not fit to be a leader. Wars are fought for a reason. A good leader does not send his men into battle to lose purposely and knowingly. Warriors do not stand in battle and willingly die. Good warriors, at least.

Moonglow is not placing blame here, make no mistake. Yes, we admit to our allegiances with the vampires. Perhaps you see this as a fault of ours. But it is your narrow mindedness and failure as a leader that has driven you to this predicament. It is your failure as a leader that will cost the lives of your soldiers. It is your failure as a leader that you make these decisions and believe them to be right.

I am by no means a complex person that is simply misunderstood. In fact, I'm relatively easy to understand by those who have even below average intelligence. Perhaps the problem lies not in me being "complex," but in you being unable to grasp simple concepts.

This messenger has been equipped with a "cunning" scroll. If, by this point in the message, you are unable to comprehend the simplicity of the letter, then I encourage you to use the scroll, and re-read the letter.

Cal Hurst
Mayor of Moonglow
