A CHARCTER SUMMARY: - (Arieus De’Chevia)
A simple yet sad tale, Arieus was deprived of his family when just a small, human baby. The creatures that destroyed his home and murdered his family, perhaps known to some, and are names that are too grim to repeat even in these pages, for some folk of a cruel and distasteful nature might think it does the beasts credit.
He was raised with his half-brother Daynle De'Chevia, and Arieus was trained to be a swordsman. Despite his elder brother, Daynle's attempts to sway his to the mystical arts, his younger brother simply harbored too much aggression. As time passed Arieus did pick up a degree of wisdom and a good amount of intelligence, yet his true call was simply physical and melee skills. Soon the house, with the addition of cousins Austin and Rowland, and a temporary ward named Andrea, were destined to move to the new lands of Malas.
House De'Chevia was formed on the Northern boards near the lands of Trinsic, and as such, Arieus picked up a number of jobs as a temporary guard, security, and mercenary swordsman. In due time, his skill with the blade improved to a very significant degree, and he was looking for something better, perhaps the path of a knight. All the while a great citadel was erected by House De’Chevia on the northern mountaintop of Luna, and dedicated to the Dragonbane family.
Prior to this and at the advent of his career, He had approached the, what some might consider, ancient castle and tower of The Knights of Sosaria, and there began as a humble squire. He was taught the ways around the realm, made new friends, and even took part in many noteworthy activities. Eventually, after a number of years, and sincere dedication to this guild, he decided that his career with KoS was going nowhere past Knight-Errant. Thus, he departed for further light in the virtues, and mayhap to let shine a majority of his hard earned skills.
Surprisingly, at the time of his presentation to The House of the Gauntlet, former paytons of nobility, there was a lack of knights and activity about in general. However, Arieus decided to give the noble house a go, and see what would transpire in the future. As of the date of this manuscript, and having been passed from a simple Knight Bearer to Knight Master, Arieus reluctantly took upon himself, the duties of Grand General. This recent promotion, now being ironed out and it is with some regard to question that now he continues on a once lost path.
Arieus now remains the Weapon master of House De’Chevia, and as far as his career with The House of the gauntlet goes, only time will tell. _________________
