|
As of now, I'm just planning the religion I want Oldscale to spread the word of. You may have heard Oldscale mention the spirits on numerous occasions. Here are the details.
The Path of the Spirits: The spirits make up everything, whether its living or dead. All spirits are connected to a greater spirit known as the Universal Spirit, or Gaia. There are even spirits of the non-physical world.
There are spirits of aging, spirits of the gravity- all things material and non-material have spirits.
Some spirits, on the otherhand, are evil. These include daemons, spirits made from necromancy, and good spirits becoming tainted. It is our duty to destroy these abominations when the opportunity comes.
Receiving aid from the spirts: The spirits will often aid people if they see that its for the greater good.
Different spirits will provide different forms of help. Here are examples of the form of help different spirits will provide.
Spirit of fire- May provide heat in the cold.
Spirit of water- May put out a burning fire. May also cooperate with a spirit of the wind to help sail a ship safely to its destination.
Spirit of peace- May pacify a hostile creature.
Spirit of discordance: May confuse a creature, weakening it.
Clergy: The clergy consists of four ranks. Members of the clergy must be good of heart, and must not practic
the art of necromancy. All other magics are fine, as long as it does not involve daemonic summonings, or anything else against the natural way.
High Shaman: Those who have become revered by the spirits. The path to this status is not an easy one, as it requires strict discipline, and to be recognized by Gaia itself.
Spirit Speaker: A standard member of the Path.
Unenlightened: Those who recently joined the Path have much to learn.
If you have suggestions, please post them. |

Good Idea...Being a Pre-religion community which is totally virtue based for a "sense" of religion its good to bring in more faiths. With Stahlkrieger I follow the Norse faith since we're from earth and Pre-HRE germanic tribes followed such. To my knowledge Druids and virtues are the only faiths other than my Norse and your new one. I might be wrong but thats all I have come across IG so far. _________________ A government must not waiver once it has chosen it's course. In the past the orcs followed a very tribal-religion based around the "Blud God" that was linked with Order of the Ebon Skull who through varying manifestations had a highly organized or tribal cabalistic religion depending on the era. Also, the old eleven guilds had a belief system while I'm hazy on it. |

Update...
MTC isn't going to allow me to, as of now. I'll be keeping the information as a reference for Oldscale though. |

This isn't an issue of MTC not allowing you to do something. It has never been. If you, personally, want to do something, then as a free roleplayer you have the choice to do so. In the end, it is your game time, and you can do as you please. But as far as this religion thing, IC wise, MTC would not be accepting of it, no. And I explained to you why.
In the end, do as you wish. _________________
