KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.
A familiar grandfatherly voice emanated from the room, “Ðo come in.”
Hugh Bracken entered the study and took the seat opposite of the elderly man upon receiving a hand gesture to do so. He laid his leather gloves upon his thigh and adjusted his Justice Green sash, a symbol of his profession and sworn fealty to the Order of Sanctus.
The elderly man asked with a warm smile, “How are thee doin’, Hugh?”
Hugh replied, “I have received a request from Sanctus to return to duty.”
“The tym for thee return to the Sanctvs has arryvd yet ag’in. Remembereth tat thine troubles come not from barl’ywyn and mead but thou diligence wit the Virtues.”
Hugh nodded in understanding and left the room after the men had exchanged their parting pleasantries. |
