Dear Vargus,

We departed earlier than I hoped. I wish I had the time to speak to you before we did. I wanted to run a through things by you.

In my time over the years, I've trained a few apprentices. Their names are listed somewhere in this book. If they ever come across Moonglow, make sure to show them hospitality. Treat them as you would myself.

I also left breif descriptions on most, if not all, the training techniques Vaen and I trained and taught our armies over the years. You may have learned most of them by now already. You've spent a while in the Moonglow army.

I have spoken with Sarian and he's agreed to pick up any slack in Moonglow. No longer will he wander in and out of the City. He'll be around much more often now. He has spoken with Vaen and they have agreed to make him the new "Imperator" of the Arcanamach division.

Sarian was both mine and Vaens student. Take his words wisely, he knows what he's talking about. Look at him, like the vessle of our knowledge combined. Left for you to pick apart whenever you need suggestions.

Take good care of Phy until I return, and even after. She can be a handful, be listen to her. Make sure she -knows- that she's unique, the best thing to happen to you. If you hurt her, and I find out, I will have you killed. *Insert sketch of a wink face* Treat her well Vargus, I trust you will.

Moonglow couldn't have asked for a better General. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't be afraid to be harsh. Think hard and long before you make decisions concerning the army. Think of what's best in the long run, instead of the short term.

Best of luck General Vargus,
Sincerely,
With best wishes,
Beowulf Thormear.

After reading through the book, Vargus nodded to himself and set the book neatly on his bookshelf in his personal study. He then sat at his desk, and began to write a small letter.

Dear Sarian,
I have just been informed on your advancement to the rank of Imperator, and I wanted to congratulate you on this accomplishment. I would be happy to lend any type of information you may need, be it the current affairs within Moonglow, or something else of the like. While I am sorry to say I know little of you -although I'm sure that can change in the future- I will be looking forward to seeing what you're capable of, for I have been told that you've been trained by the best.

Semper Veritas,
Vargus Daelstrum

Vargus then fitted the letter into an envelope, and called for a messenger. Once the messenger had arrived at his house, Vargus said to the messenger, "Go and find a man named Sarian, and once that is done, hand him this note." The messenger nodded, then smiled as Vargus handed over a few coins along with the letter. After fitting the coins into his pocket, the messenger went off in search of Sarian, letter in hand.

The messenger found Sarian with little work. For the new Imperator paced up and down the streets of Moonglow.

Sarian read over the note and smiled to himself.

Vargus wasn't around very much when he had first arrived in Moonglow. Beowulf had recruited him with the purpose of one thing. The protection of Moonglow. Sarian had been exempt from a number of things the regular soldiers had to participate in, as long as he took care of Verity Island.

After he had claimed the title of Moonglow Champion, and Sosaria Champion, he was offered a spot as a Royal Guard to The Governor Regent Adrien himself. He was dubed the Champion of the Protectorate and served for a few months.

The Arcanamach division was made, and Sarian found a new challenge. Someone who had finally bested him in a fight. He left the Royal Guard and joined with Moonglow once more. To not only train under Beowulf, but Vaen Swiftar.

Sarian beckoned for the messenger to follow him. He made his way to the bank and sat down. He scribbled a note in reply.

Dear Vargus,

I thank you, for your congrats. When I had first served in Moonglow, you wearn't around as often as you are now. Sadly, I've been busy. Luckily, things have been slow for Moonglow and my abbsence wasn't a major deal.

Like you said, I'm sure we'll get to know eachother rather quickly. I've kept up to date, the best I could, on Moonglows doings. I know what state we're in and what most of our plans are.

Hopefully we'll find peace in working along side each other. From what I hear, you have great potential to be one of the best Generals Moonglow has seen. Lets make sure your field tactics are as good as your individual tactics.

I'll see you soon,
Sincerely,
Sarian
