Homecoming
Quietly the leather boots paced back and forth across the pale stone of the castles walk. The robed figure couldn't help but try and put the pieces together. ~You will never belong. I tried to warn you; tried to point you in the right direction - but you never listen. You have shamed yourself and your family~
"Much has changed in the years we have laid beneath the city of the dead. The Order has indeed fallen in disarray ..." Mummbling to himself through the mask over his lower face, or perhaps speaking to the echoing voices within his own mind - hands clasped behind the back but still well concealed behind the faded and torn black robes. "We are without home now ... without family. Our purpose once so clear has become vague and clouded..."
Ceasing his pace the dark knight turned abruptly to face the obsidian casket of his fathers tomb, taking two steps towards the stone coffin, he ran a gloved hand down its smooth and weather beaten surface. "We'll not return here again, Father... Your approval is no longer needed... We must find our own way." Turning he cast the spell of Recall - finding himself within the doorway of the Wailing Banshee Inn of Umbra.
"War is over; it is now time to find Peace." |
