Everytime there is a patch I get the above message. So far the only thing I have been able to do is uninstall and reinstall UO. This only happens on the 2D version. Any ideas why? I am running Vista operating system. I've gone to http://www.uo.com/ and it offers absolutely no help at all or anything at least that works. I've even defragged.

There is an easier fix than reinstalling. You need to right click it, scroll down to "Run as Administrator" and execute. It should run fine. My laptop does this with every new patch. Vista doesn't like allowing executeables to install things they just downloaded. A few other games do it to me too.

It is probably because the user account you are logged into windows on doesn't have full read/write/modify access to the folders those files are going into.

Doing what Jstrathdawg said should bypass such a problem.
