*a silent courier arrives to deliver a sealed missive addressed to Lady Ariana Lenoir*
Dearest Cousin,
Situations being as they are, have become more intolerable within the recent months. While things remain better than they had once been between our family and the Balthroys, I fear I am a constant reminder to them of how things can get. While not his father, things remain tense the two estates, the apple never falls far from the tree so they say.
With all this, you will be happy to know that I'm planning to come visit with you and your sister. I'm certain this is so glorious for you that I did not wish to ruin it by such trivial things as a formal notice, or asking permission.
See you soon!

Ariana looked up from her desk as Shiori approached. "A message just arrived for you, Ariana-sama, " she said as she extended the sealed letter to her. "Thank'e, " she said, taking the letter with a gentle nod of her head to the older woman. Shiroi bowed respectfully and left.
Ariana looked at the seal, arching an eyebrow silently as she removed it from its case. Her blue eyes scanned over the contents of the letter multiple times before a light smirk spread across her features. She sat it lightly upon the desk, taking out a quill and a bottle of black ink. She pulled out a sheet of her formal stationary which was embossed with her House seal of a triad of cherry blossoms guarded by a what appeared to be a dragon. A dip of the quill and the tip found itself on the parchment consumed in writing out a very carefully worded response.
She finished the letter with the complex signature she used in formal correspondance. She rang a bell and moments later Shiroi hurried to her side. "Have one of the heralds deliver this at once to Lady Sabine Braoin at the Braoin Estates." Shiroi nodded, taking the letter and quickly leaving. Ariana leaned back against her chair as she smirked slightly to herself, "Dearest Cousin... ye still 'ave yer sense o' humor despite it all..." _________________

Sabine opened the letter and grinned to herself at the formality, letting out a soft laugh at the utter care taken in the formality of the reply. "This may actually be... fun" she mused.
Formally written on a full piece of parchment and sealed, she sends her reply.
"
Well, of course...
