With glowing eyes and gleaming coats, they came into view, their hunched forms looming over a feast of mutilated pixie, leaving only a seeping red mess. It came in drops, returning to the earth, to where the pixies belonged, in death, they were reunited with their mother, however, in stark contrast, the wolves were very alive, and very hungry.
Davaran had come to the pixie tree for a moment of solitude, to think about the situation that may have been thrust apon all of Sanctus, but for now..They looked at him, and he looked at them, and that is when the attack came. Not from the front, but from the sides.
The next few moments played it in a matter of seconds. The fur of the great beast gentle whipped with the air of Malas, dry air that was being demanded more and more by the Lord Commander's body. Turning, the defendant, hurling towards the seemingly defenseless prey, the great hunter of Ice isle. It was a stroke of luck some would argue, that as the great ivory lined maul of the dog met Davaran, had met his right arm, leaving just a few crucial seconds as they tumbled backwards for reaction.
Half a second, perhaps abit less, perhaps abit more, just enough time to pull the dagger. Not enough time for the their combined weight to meet the grass, not enough for the jaw to talk hold-
*shwuip*
The blade cut through the air, then then dog, then nothing at all. As soon as the attack had come, as soon as the assailant had appeared, it seem to fall into pieces, maggots writhing, as if a month had passed since it's felling. Glancing down, the congealed blood on the blade seemed to frame the inscription, sending a chill that the warmest hearth in Sosaria could stir from the Lord Commander's bones.
Davaran
"No one wounds me with impunity"
Laying, covered in the muck of the wolf, Davaran glanced around. Alone, just he and the dagger, which now stood vertically in the ground. It had been sloppy, the entire maneuver was sluggish and off. Angry at himself, Dav's head thumped against the dirt, glancing back at the dagger. Most ponderously, the area around the penetration seemed to be slowly withering.. Springing to his feet, grabbing the blade, his foot falls were light against the grass as he made way for Blackguard |
