I'm just curious as to what city people started playing in. Back when you had a choice, at least.

I got my start in Minoc in '98, I think it was. September. Could have been 99. I forget, but it was before T2A and colored ingots. Had myself a miner/swordsman!

Pretty much right away... some town on chesapeake (i'm pretty sure back then everyone started at Britian). Either way that was back before bank boxs and UO:R.

I started in Britania tram. However when I joined UO, Renaissance was new and the warps were bad. I never knew where I would be when I logged on. I landed in fel through one of these warps and have been there ever since. I went to Britania fel and met some nice folks, stayed near Rivendell and then settled in Skara Brae fel, where I am to this day, Mazewood.

I only started a little over three years ago, so Haven. I got on my warrior, and got owned by a lot of skeles and zombies. Though, I did memorize the route from the healer to the graveyard eventually. Laughing Thankfully Merci and Astar helped me finish that quest. I never thought I'd ever find a deamon's blood. Then they whisked me off to Zento to kill deathwatch beetle hatchlings. At which point I learned the route from the Zento healers to the wasteland.

I started in Minoc, around 1999 or 2000, but not on ATL, started on GL shard. Was in a guild called the Highland Guard, those were the days. could find RP anywere and anytime you wanted a good fight you could find Urks (bloodrock orcs) in Skara Brae.

I had one account back before there was Trammel and started that character in Minoc as a miner/lumberjack. Got killed by Bill Gates several times, put a bounty on him. Got upset with all the pking and quit for a while. When I came back around 1999 or 2000 thereabouts, I started my first character Polly Pureheart in the BTF Castle in Yew. I was given a chest to work my Tailor/Lumberjack. About a year later Kotare gave me a small tower just south of the castle where I started my vendor shop Polly's Supply. By then Tinkerbelle and PeterPan were created. Tinkerbelle did the mining, tinkering, and carpentry. Peter just went out shooting his bow and learned a little lockpicking. Eventually Polly's supply was moved out of Yew to a larger house out in the middle of no where (previously was the Holy Church of the Virtues if anyone remembers that), but does a lot of business from previous customers and word of mouth. I noticed that there is even a rune to my place in the rune library under good vendors. I now have an addition shop south of Umbra called the TDB Vendor Aboretum and a couple of vendors at a shop on the Tokuno (sp?) Island.
