|
When i played on ls someone held an event that was almost like a pvp capture the flag. 5 man guilds there was like 5 or 6 and u had an area of a city that was your stronghold. the object was to capture as many items as possible. each team started with 1. now thats just a small basic outline.
My question is if i was to hold one of these events would there be enough people in the rp community that would like to join. This event would be held in tram and probably in a town. prizes for the winner of course.
please post if you are interested in something like this if i get enough responses i will start making plans and a list of rules.
Also if anyone is interested in helping me set this up that would be great. |

Heck yea I would be up for some capture the flag!!! I'd be glad to help get things ready its going to take a lot of work to get all the teams on the same page. I would suggest doing some practice runs with the rules and a smaller group to see how things go and tweak the rules accordingly, once the rules are decided on that is.
Also what city to use? Vesper may be good since its a bunch of islands, Serpents Hold would be cool too because of all the forts, its still has controllers walking around but that could add to the fun. Then again if it were out of guard zone we could use fields which are always helpful in defense.
And Viktor Wisconsin rocks Iowa sucks.. just get over it. I'll make you eat two pounds of cheese if I see you at next years ren fair, and be sure Mak will help me. |

Ellesbeth would probably be interested, but I'm having a hard time visualizing how this would work in Trammel since it is so limited on what you can do to other players if they are not in your alliance or you are not at war with them, or maybe I'm not understanding how this "capture the flag" works. |

We did something like this a few years back on GL. It worked great, but we had some issues working out a good set of rules that was fair for us Blue Lotus Ninja...
But regardless, a GREAT place to do something like this is in the caves below Buc's Den. That's where we held ours, and as far as a location, it worked out GREAT.
The hardest part about doing Capture the Flag in UO is controling the area where participants can manuver. The last thing you want, is for big groups to miss each other.
Anyway, I can dig up our old set of rules we used if you wanted a starting point for refinement. Oh, and I'm sure the Blue Lotus and the Iron Lotus would love to get in on this... _________________
