A legless rat slithers to Dragothian's workshop, his tail bearing a rattle, and a huge letter, with the words, DON'T KILL ME on the front.

Dear mister Dragothian,

I hope you didn't kill my rat snake, He is very harmless, and truthfully, is very fond of mice. I have to ask you a question though. Have you invented a potion to make a person have to tell the truth? It sounds like something you would have done. I really need to know for Umbra, in case it ever comes up.

Dear mother of slitherby,
(I named him Slitherby). Slitherby and I have been having the grandest of times. Unfortunately, even though I created your potion ten years ago, I decided to test the formula I dug up before I contacted you. While slitherby consumed the potion just fine, I can't really tell if he is telling me the truth. So the potion is under further review.

See if he says anything to you, maybe you'll have better luck. either way, rest assured that the potion does exist.
