Light soft and bright filtered in the slats of the wooden building. Burrowing down and touched spots within like golden hands. In each beam particles floated within, dust, pollen, making the theatre resonate its age.

A black heel, carressed her dainty foot giving way to a the slender arch of her leg, noise echoing as it stepped upon the ancient floorboards of the stage. Creaking softly beneath her weight. Each step bringing this fair figure closer to the center mark. Fragile hands lifted in imploration, guiding, bemusing, cajoling the invisible audience.

Her monologue deepened and a sad tear ran down her face most fair, shiny black curls falling down her back swaying softly as she spoke. Silver tongued was the actress speaking with passion, conviction, and fragility all at once. Ones heart did beat with love or anger, laughter or sadness as she worked pushing emotion from her invisible audience. Was she shy that she hid her desires at acting for the midday sun when no one bothered with theatre or actor?

What kept her red lips silent, her golden eyes calm when asked if she enjoyed the theatre. What hidden moments lay within her heart. The darkness concealed burgeoning timidly when no one watched. So many times she had come here to speak to no one, to beguile the silence with her sweet tongue.

Yet today was different, today the silence of the dark and empty audience was broken. For someone watched, someone laughed with the actress, and felt her pain. Today she was discovered...
