Yeah...playing WoW. Darn shame the RP there is dead. Tried playing on an RP server, just simply dissapointing. Playing on a PvP server mostly these days....waiting with baited breath for Wrath of the Lich King to come out so I can make my Death Knight.
So how is UO these days? They added any content? Things to do? Interface upgrades?

I just recently started a new account and decided to come back after the changes were more core to what UO was. The removal of neons, a focus on more content and skill use. SE was certainly completely stupid in my opnion but the KR client is a nice touch (though very buggy - i am back to 2D) and the content of the Stygian Abyss seems very promising.

I'm definitely making a DK as well for PvP. I just didn't have the dedication to gear out any of my raiding characters for PvP as well as raiding, but more importantly, I didn't like PvP much as a resto shammy or shadowpriest, and feral druid was 'passable' in PvP. I'm going to level my shaman then go right into DK, saving my druid and priest for whenever I am certain that my preferred specs will hold up in raiding and be enjoyable.
Outsiders perspective on UO, I've heard that there hasn't been any significant new content for a long time (unless you count new plants and things of the caliber as 'significant new content') because they are spending their efforts on Stygian Abyss. SA looks like it'll be more than ML or SE was in terms of content, but I couldn't say how well it'll be recieved; UO is down to its hardcore playerbase anyways, who seem to enjoy what they can get. As for interface upgrades, I hear KR royally flopped to the point where they have abandoned trying to touch it up and are simply reworking it for SA as a 'KR2' client or some such. Naysayers might chime in and say KR wasn't a flop, but when the development team has totally washed their hands of it and are making everyone put up with it (or go back to 2D) until SA it launched, well, I wouldn't exactly call it successful.
Either way. Looking forward to WotLK. Looking forward to Darkfall for PvP as well, and I hear there is some significant progress on that front, sufficient progress to shut the 'zomg vaporware' naysayers up for a bit. |
