Reginald walked from the courthouse in Brit, whistling as he went. Everything was falling into place. It had taken years to convince the judge that Adrian was dead and that the family Assets needed direction. Finally after digging up some false death paperwork, the judge had adheared, and since no other ILdaws could be found, in twenty four hours time, the full wealth of the Ildaw family would be his.

It was a plan that was so cleverly crafted in his mind that he marveled at himself. He could hardly wait to get home and begin the liquidation of assets. Then he and his beloved would be off to some tropical paradise, wealthy as hell. He smiled seeing the large diamond ring displayed in the store window. It had been a whole week since he had brought his wife a new gem and he prided himself on keeping her lavished. He had met Piper many years ago, and he knew she was a greedy woman, that she cared mainly for his money. Yet her beautiful hair and wondrous body had lead him heartsick all these years. Her greed fell right in step with his own, and so they were a perfect pair. Reginald hopped on his purebred mare and headed quickly home.

Reginald tho very clever had not the instincts of danger that surround some, a gut level warning, perhaps it was his own belief in his invincibility and prowess as a man that lead him to his great fall.

The halls of the Ildaw house, soon to be his, was quiet he did not glimpse a servant in sight. This was an oddity to see none about, he was far to busy marveling at the vision of his wife as she ascended the stairs. Gorgeous he thought to himself, truly a prize on his arm, an asset he cherished as his own. Whipping out the gorgeous gem he presented it to her, and she quickly snatched it. Pipers face showed no appreciation or surprise. She was far used to such gifts and she actually stared at the gift with disdain. This gem was slightly smaller than the last....

He headed to his desk, with her close behind, knowing her curiousity at what great wondrous cash had brought on this gift making her loath to be away from him. He smiled, he would be a lucky man this eve...
He explained to her their great fortune, of what was to come, and she took it in stride of course professing her want for a vacation. Oh they would have one a long one, a forever vacation...

Then there came a rapping at the door, he begged her see to it as he was certain it was one of his merchants with gold or items to bring him. Surely enough she brought in a rather ragged looking fellow.

He smirked and rubbed his hands when he realized that this was Alasdair Ildaw, he could kill so many birds with one stone....

And so he thought to himself what a most perfect plan and it only gets better....
