|
“Peoples of the Government Britannia be it known your voices are heard by this Lady, in every instance, circumstance, and concern. Please this to be an informative missive, recited by my herald, so that you may find comfort, assurance, and peace amongst yourselves.”
The herald, glances up, to the verily few that have indeed gathered to hear the deliverance.
“In the matter of absence of our Lord Regent, In my contacts with him has he assured me he will tend those things that require his presence, as he is able. While many of you await being sworn into the Regency, and others to await his decision of acceptance into or decline, his lord Regent is aware, and to be true, will work steadfastly to accommodate those things that have been set aside. Please to encourage you to hold strong to your decisions of election of his Lord Regent, and the decision that followed to allow him to continue his spiritual journey while he presides.”
The herald skims the small gathering of listeners.
“On the matters to our afflicted, those being overwhelmed with hearing voices, taken ill, and those other described symptoms. The Government Britannia works with the Loyalist guilds to insure the safety of and see to the needs of those persons under their care. The Government Britannia works also with many outside friends, and affiliates to gather information, to research and to share that information. The General himself has spent many a day gathering such information, and having it researched, soon he will speak more in depth of this with the Loyalists. To be assured, the peoples under care are being questioned, observed, and the like to find anything that may lead us to an answer. If there is something you have to contribute in this endeavor to bring again security to our peoples, please to come forward. Please take solace, that all is being done towards this situation, and more is to be done.”
The herald again glances the on listeners, and continues. This time he merely glances to his scroll as he recites.
“Brothers and sisters of Virtue, this is not time nor situation to argue our differences, nor to present solutions not pertaining to that of the tainting of our waters. First and foremost, as decided by his Lord Regent, myself, and the General, this matter will take all precedence. We must be untied, we must work as one to strive for the answers, for this Lady has great witness to those things that consume the affected peoples....and they too deserve the best, and most affective collaborations of effort to solve and restore.”
“In matters of administration, I do not work alone, but have many support persons and a chain of those things to which I abide to get things done. Perhaps in the absence of our Lord Regent and his Lord Chancellor these things have been slowed, for this you have my most sincere apologies. To be sure, such matters are also being contended with, there is nothing that concerns his Lord Regents peoples that goes unnoted. Please to have faith these matters as well as others will all be addressed and remedied in time.”
The herald changes his voice slightly, to become more melodious, he continues....
“To leave you with this, this verse to which I oft look towards for strength in such times of adversities...It is called, The security of virtue, the author is unknown to me..”
In his last breaths the herald continues to finish the missive with this verse, which is heard above all else. The few gathered listeners quiet to hear the verse, and the voice of the herald continues in rhythm and melody, captivating to some...
“ Let coward guilt, with pallid fear,
To shelt’ring caverns fly,
And justly dread the vengeful fate,
That thunders through the sky.
Protected by that hand whose law
The threat’ning storms obey,
Intrepid virtue smiles secure,
As in the blaze of day.”
The herald rolls the scroll slowly, nods a few times, and continues on his way. |
